"Do you remember that I found a bug in the standard routines?"
Demian turns sideways in his armchair and looks for something on the bookshelf.
"Yes, but what does that have to do with it now? I took care of the problem. It has been solved by my team," reminds Naomi.
Demian stands up and leaves the lounge area. He walks through the corridor of the ship. "I checked the routines again and the functionality. We were able to calibrate the translator on the common basic program bibliotheca to their form of communication. The bug is fixed, thank you. The Illumis have observed us humans since the earliest beginning and the malicious implementation of the bug was registered by them as typically human. They estimate humans as destructive beings driven by no need and in many cases of non conclusive reasons which could justify harmful behavior. The bug in the routines was our first topic of conversation."
Paul, the alien lifeform theoretician among the pioneers of the outer space program, signals the drone to move to him. He leans his body forward into a questioning posture: "How did they get into the spaceship and where are they from."
Demian stops and fixes a cable which comes out of the wall paneling. He mumbles something like sh...
"They don't have to get anywhere, they are everywhere. We had to change our idea of aliens similar to humans. The Illumis appear through the adapted glasses in our eyes as an energetic light network, like a grid in space which can accumulate in ghostly appearing spheres. They're polite in a way; the Illumis morph into the form of a human body when in communication with us. The Illumi entity is like a glue that holds everything in space, in our universe together."
“How did you find that out? Sorry, Demian but I can’t believe it until I have seen it with my own eyes. Can you send the source code of the data glasses so that we can check your findings for credibility?”
Demian has reached the lab. The moment he enters the space, the walls and the furnishing reposition and unfold. The walls move on two sides three to four meters back, the shelves, the tables, and chairs partly unfold and arrange to a comfortable work area. Demian takes a seat at the lounge group with sight out of the lab's large window to the stars. The video communication drone chose the panorama view showing Demian in the dimmed light of the laboratory in front of planets of a new discovered galaxy.
"The source code will be accessible for you after this meeting. You will find a detailed report about our findings on how to communicate with the energy entity. It has no power requests or other human typical traits. As far as we understand the Illumis, their being and their relation to humans is based upon the physical fact that all material of the universe gives off energy and at the same time consists of energy. The human race is part of the greater whole. It’s the materialized special edition with advantages like compassion or love and disadvantages such as destructiveness which was explicitly pointed out by the Illumis."
"Do you think that the glasses were manipulated by them so that your team can see them?" Paul can't believe that the glasses had been accidentally equipped with the new feature because of a failure in the programming. Demian looks skeptical: "What would that change?"
Naomi joins the conversation: "That they have a reason to contact us.”
